Fighter Friday - Camden

This is Camden! He was born 1/2019 and his diagnosis is DORV, TAPVR, AVSD and heterotaxy with no spleen. He spent his first 241 days at MUSC in the PCICU. During that time he had 3 heart surgeries and 3 stomach surgeries. Once out of the hospital he began to thrive! 02/2020 Camden returned to MUSC to have his Glenn surgery. And it was a success!! After discharge from the hospital he no longer needed oxygen and began to grow and learn so much.

Fast forward 06/2023 Camden went to Austin, Texas for his Fontan surgery with Dr. Fraser. This was quite an adventure, two days post op Camden was up and walking showing the hospital staff a true heart warrior! Camden is now 5 years old and is “living his best life” one day at a time!
