Fighter Friday - Addi

Addi was born on August 2nd, 2020 (healthy pregnancy)— at her 2 week appt. her pediatrician could hear a murmur and referred us to pediatric cardiology just to be safe, and one week later she had heart surgery at the Denver Children’s Hospital at exactly 4 weeks old to fix her COA. It was the scariest moment of our lives! We were there for 2.5 weeks while she recovered; and today she is coming up on 4 years old and has had great check ups since! Praying it stays that way.

We will continue to monitor the BAV, too, but for now it’s functioning perfectly fine. She’s the strongest little girl I know and I’m just forever thankful for her surgeon and medical team behind her that took SUCH good care of her!
