Fighter Friday - Hunter

Hunter is a one year old baby boy that was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He has had a series of events through his little life. First open heart surgery at 3 days old and two heart caths with a few blood transfusions. Hunter was doing so great in his interstage period he got to come home for a few weekend visits. His 2nd open heart surgery happened at 4 months old along with another Cath!

Hunter had done so well after the 2nd we got discharged on a Friday, came home on Saturday and sadly we was flown back on Monday. Hunter was all fine and dandy those few days but later Monday night Hunter got sick, turned blue and pale and his O2 /HR went down. Come to find out he had a huge clot in his coronary artery which caused damage to his heart and causing him to go into cardiac arrest and heart failure.

Hunter was placed on a Berlin heart machine for 6 months and was listed on the heart transplant list on November 28th 2023, come May 1st I got the call! Hunter is now doing well and waiting to go home!! - Hunters Mama @jagerman_finsta
