Mandy Anderson

Co-Director + Mom to Henry

Mandy became a heart mom when she welcomed her third child, Henry Davin, in December 2022.  Henry was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome at his 20 week anatomy scan and also developed a very restricted atrial septum as he grew.  Within days of finding out the diagnosis Mandy was connected with Kalee through their Pediatric Cardiologist in Kalispell and they began to talk and bond over the CHD diagnosis both of their sons received.

Mandy and her husband decided to take Henry to Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT as they had family in the area to assist with their two older daughters.  Henry was born on December 9th at the University of Utah Hospital and quickly transported via a sky bridge to the connecting Primary Children's Hospital.  Due to his restricted atrial septum, Henry was undergoing his first heart procedure at 3 hours old.  Once his atrial septum was opened up he was able to recover for a few days, and then had his first open heart surgery, the Norwood, at 4 days old.

Henry continued to fall ill numerous times during the Interstage period before the Glenn and spent the majority of the time inpatient at Primary Children's Hospital.  As his oxygen levels were struggling, the Surgeons decided he needed to undergo the 2nd surgery, the Glenn, when he was just shy of turning 4 months old.  After the Glenn, the game changed for Henry and he has grown bigger, stronger and continually torments his older sisters just as a baby brother should!

Mandy and her family live in Columbia Falls and she is thrilled to be a part of such an impactful organization.  With her background in nonprofit work she hopes to help lay the foundation to make Montana Brave Hearts a successful and thriving organization, reaching out to those families who are having to face such a scary time in their lives.
