Hugh Bigg

Vice Chair

Dr. Hugh Bigg is a dedicated pediatric and fetal cardiologist who brings both expertise and heart to Montana’s families. A graduate of medical school in Chicago through the US Army Health Professions Scholarship Program, he served as a general pediatrician in rural Missouri, where he developed innovative programs like a pediatric tele-echocardiogram service to ease the burdens on families who would otherwise be required to travel long distances for diagnostic testing. After completing his military service, Hugh pursued advanced cardiology training at Children’s Wisconsin and Arkansas Children’s Hospital, specializing in fetal and perinatal cardiology. Now practicing in Billings, Hugh stands out as a different kind of cardiologist—easy-going, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. His unwavering commitment to supporting families and caring for children with CHD is truly unmatched. As the first Vice Chair of Montana Brave Hearts, Hugh brings his expertise and compassion to our growing organization.

In his free time, Hugh enjoys reading, rowing, or spending quality time with his wife and son exploring the beauty of Montana.
