Celebrating Courage and Compassion: Recap of the Montana Brave Hearts Gala 2024
Montana Brave Hearts Gala, held on February 3rd at the historic Depot in Billings, was a resounding success, drawing over 200 attendees and selling out the event. The atmosphere was electric as guests participated in various activities, including a live auction, silent auction, raffle, and an engaging game of Heads or Tails. The generosity of attendees was truly awe-inspiring, as the Gala raised nearly $50,000 in support of Montana Brave Hearts' mission.
What made this event truly remarkable was the presence of ten Montana heart moms and dads, highlighting the resilience and strength within the community. Their presence served as a poignant reminder of the importance of solidarity and support in facing challenges.
A highlight of the gala was the keynote speech delivered by Ashleah Hall, a heart mom herself, who shared her deeply personal journey. Her words resonated with the audience, offering insights into the realities faced by families dealing with congenital heart disease. Dr. Hugh Bigg, renowned for his expertise and compassionate care, also graced the stage, shedding light on the medical aspect of the condition and its profound impact on families. His heartfelt speech, marked by tears, left a lasting impression on everyone present.
Looking ahead, Montana Brave Hearts is already planning for the future, with aspirations to expand its reach and impact. Plans are underway to bring on a Board of Directors in the fall, with Dr. Bigg's involvement signaling a promising direction for the organization. We are determined to find a larger venue for the 2025 event, ensuring that even more individuals can come together to celebrate courage, compassion, and community.
As the night came to a close, hearts were filled not only with gratitude for the success of the Gala but also with hope for a future where every heart, no matter its condition, beats bravely.
