Fighter Friday - Lenox

This is Mr Lenox and he’s 9 months old! His heart story is a little different than most who usually find out in utero. He was born 4 weeks early and seemed to be a healthy baby. We didn’t know he had a heart condition until he stopped breathing in our arms at home when he was 18 days old. We rushed him by ambulance to the hospital where he ended up coding twice and had an ischemic stroke.

Thankfully by the grace of god they were able to revive him and life flighted him to Denver where he underwent open heart surgery to fix his coarctation of the aorta and a large VDS. He also has a bicuspid valve that will need to be monitored the rest of his life. He spent 21 days down at Denver Children’s Hospital. He still has a paralyzed vocal cord caused from his surgery and goes to feeding therapy once a week. But that doesn’t slow him down. He’s a happy, healthy little guy now and we are so excited to see his future.

We thank god everyday he’s still with us. We are so thankful for Montana Brave Hearts support throughout our journey.
